- Supervisors of towns bounded by the patents dividing line requested a survey be done to establish town boundaries. This series consists of a report containing survey course, marks and measurements; surveyors' certifications of accuracy; letters from town supervisors agreeing with the location of the boundary line as described in the survey; and letters from town supervisors stating that they would not assume responsibility for their share of the survey's cost.

- This series consists of correspondence, published and unpublished reports, memorandums, field notes, survey data, program proposals, and policies and procedures relating to the functions of the Department of Conservation's Wildlife Pathology Unit and state wildlife pathologist Ward Stone (1969-2010). Records primarily contain information regarding the evolution of ecological standards across New York State and its impact on wildlife management. Records also document Stone's tenure with the department and highlight the numerous environmental issues he raised while leading the Wildlife Pathology Unit.

The company purchased over five million acres in central and western New York and Pennsylvania. - This series consists of one photocopy of a tracing of a survey map and field notes made by surveyor Ebenezer Worster (or Wooster) in 1749. Map shows boundaries and names of land owners, lot numbers, and rivers. Field notes record survey delineations. The tracing was made by or for the State Conservation Department in 1919 from an original map then in private hands.

- These maps and profiles from the Surveyor General were produced for a report to the legislature suggesting the best route for a road never built. Field notes document surveys of a proposed route between Lake Erie and the Hudson River and include brief descriptions of the land at each survey point. Maps show sections between towns and villages. Information includes town names; waterways; roads; estate boundaries and owner's names and inns and taverns and names of their owners.

- This series contains a "description of a map and field notes" of a survey of lots owned by the state "in the vicinity of the Little Basin and Lock No. 1" in the city of Albany. Location of the survey map is unknown. Records include a description of lots 1 through 12 and statement signed by the surveyor general attesting that the job was done by Deputy Surveyor Alexander Campbell. The location of these records is unknown.
