It approves all acquisitions, financing, and construction projects for the authorities, and also approves funding for all public authorities other than the Thruway Authority and the Municipal Assistance Corporation. This series consists of original applications, along with some related correspondence and memorandums, submitted to the Public Authorities Control Board (PACB) by public authorities seeking approval of project financing. Records request the board's approval pursuant to Laws of 1976, Chapter 38, and the Public Authorities Law, Section 51. - Craig Colony for Epileptics was established in 1894 to offer residential, educational, occupational, and medical facilities for epileptics. It remained an institution for epileptics until 1967. The memoranda in this series cover a variety of topics related to administrative duties and oversight. Subjects include personnel and patient issues, escapes, food, facilities, housing, equipment, recreation, treatment policies and procedures, and patient care. General announcements and bulletins are included, as well as memoranda addressed to specific staff members or groups.
