- Physicians across the state were required to report each case of designated communicable diseases to the State Department of Health. This series contains data on smallpox victims. Personal data includes patient's name; age; sex; color/race; marital status; country of mother's birth; and address. Medical data includes first symptom date; date reported; last successful vaccination date; site where infection occurred; reporting physician's signature; changes in diagnosis; vaccination response; declarations of small pox and rescindments of smallpox certifications. Records are restricted pursuant to state and federal laws.

- The series consists of a group of clippings, photographs, training circulars, instructions, and maps, dating from the World War I period. The exact source and association of these records is unclear, although they may be from a collection of Franklin W. Ward, who was Adjutant General from 1926 to 1934. They were apparently kept as background files - perhaps for research purposes - to illustrate New York's part in military training (including intelligence training) and the actual fighting.

These case files, beginning with "A," relate to grievance arbitration cases in which PERB is named as the arbitrating agency; and to combined mediation-arbitration ("Med-Arb") proceedings. - Volumes in this series index the enrolled decrees of the Court of Chancery that were filed with the Chancery clerks in New York City. The volumes do not index decrees filed in Albany, or decrees of the Vice Chancellors in the eight Chancery Circuits. The four volumes contain essentially the same data, but they were prepared at different times after 1847. Each entry states the last name of the indebted party (usually defendant) and the prevailing party (usually complainant), and the year of the decree. There are many annotations, corrections, and additions in each volume. The first three volumes are manuscript; the fourth is a typescript prepared in 1923.

- This series consists of correspondence directed to and generated by the commissioner's office of the Division of Highways, Department of Public Works and its predecessor offices. The bulk of the files deal with the administration of federal highway construction aid appropriated by Congress in 1916. Most of the correspondence is between the state official responsible for overseeing the construction of highways and the federal district engineer who ensured that all provisions outlined in the act were being met by the state.
