Volumes 1-7 contain detailed information related to their personal and criminal histories and confinement at the institution. Volumes 8-10 contain one page of summary information on women received at Albion but only only up to the time of admission to Albion. Volumes 11-13 consist of three distinct alphabetical indexes to inmates, by last name and with corresponding case number.

The Division of Waterways Maintenance was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the canal system until 1992.

- Physicians across the state were required to report each case of designated communicable diseases to the State Department of Health. This series consists of personal and medical data of polio victims. Personal data includes patient's name; address; occupation; age; sex; color/race; and national origin. Medical data includes where and how the disease was contracted; physical relationship to milk production or dairy farming; onset, duration, extent, and location of paralysis; contagion preventative measures; and (after 1960) immunization history. Records are restricted pursuant to state and federal laws.

- The small number of documents in this series relate to a judgment by a town of Romulus justice of the peace in Seneca County. The judgment was removed to the Seneca County Court of Common Pleas by a writ of certiorari, and thence submitted without writ of error to the Supreme Court by stipulation of the attorneys. The documents are the return to writ of certiorari, with stipulation, plaintiff's brief, and a letter to the clerk of the Supreme Court at Utica.
