Executive Chamber staff used these clippings to track press coverage of the governor, his administration, policies, issues, and events. Staff maintained two clipping files: one arranged chronologically and another alphabetically. Topics of note include Harriman's campaign for the 1956 Democratic Party presidential nomination, speeches given by Governor Harriman, and infrastructure such as highways and railroads.
