Items inventoried include office furniture and equipment; recreational, janitorial, and medical equipment; and hospital furniture, apparatus, and equipment. Each item notes quantity, condition, and number requested in the next budget period. Also included for each ward is a brief census of patients, with numbers of male and female patients. Patients are listed as tidy, untidy, and destructive. Numbers of patients are provided in three categories: bedridden, ambulatory, and wheelchair-bound.

State law required auctioneers to file every three months "a just and true account" of all wares and goods sold at public auction so that the treasurer could determine what duties should be levied. - This series contains materials relating to the procedures and operation of the fingerprint identification program. Because civil defense was considered a national security issue, civil defense volunteers were required to be fingerprinted. The Office of Civilian Protection screened for criminals, and fingerprint identification was conducted by the New York State Department of Correction's Division of Identification. The series includes correspondence, monthly reports, and memoranda.
