Summary

This series contains over thirty-six printer's offset plate negatives set on woodblocks. The negatives were used in the publication of the Official Bulletin and Defense Digest, both published to keep volunteers and administrators informed of War Council activities. The reversed halftone images depict state and local war council members or members of the public involved in war work. Also found in this series are approximately 40 Civil Defense ribbons.

They reached a settlement in March of 1886. This series reveals the activities of the city and county salvage committees and their coordination of local salvage efforts, particularly those concerning periodic waste paper and tin collection drives. Field representatives' reports; newspaper clippings; and some reports of tin salvage figures are also included.

This series consists of files generated by commissioner William C. Hennessy, while serving as chairman of an emergency multi-agency task force on the Love Canal disaster. Files also contain records sent to Hennessey's office in Albany from the DOT regional office in Buffalo. That office managed department policies in Region 5 (Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties). Records include copies of newspaper clippings, correspondence, memoranda, reports, toxicity maps, affidavits and exhibits, meeting minutes, contract documents and specifications, and subject files.

These records were created by the Office of Justice Systems Analysis for reporting crimes committed in New York. Part I of each report contains data on seven serious crimes (murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft). Data from Part I is furnished to the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) system for inclusion in their national Crime Index. In accordance with FBI guidelines, Part II contains data on twenty-one lesser felonies and misdemeanors.
