- Microfilmed records include minutes of meetings (and supporting correspondence) of the Board of Education of the Rensselaer City School District (1897-1991). The minutes provide a legal record of decisions made by the board and are required for State Education Department audit. Also microfilmed are record books of predecessor districts: Town of Greenbush Common School District 4 (1813-1854) and District 3 (1838-1897), which was later renumbered District 1, and City of Rensselaer Union Free School District 1 (1897-1903). The Town of Greenbush is now extinct.
