- Executive Orders 55 through 59, issued by Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller on September 19, 1972, required the Attorney General to appoint one or more special deputies and assistants to investigate and prosecute alleged "corrupt acts and omissions" in the five counties comprising the City of New York. This series consists of notes, audio-visual material, press clippings, memorandums, and reference material relating to cases being investigated by the Office of the Special Prosecutor for Investigation of the New York City Criminal Justice System.

- This series consists of records pertaining to the activities of the Consumer Counsel to Governor W. Averell Harriman, Dr. Persia Campbell, and her staff. Records relate to such subjects as: aging, credit sales, food additives, funeral costs, purchasing and maintenance of homes, Long Island Railroad fares, milk marketing, television servicing, trading stamps and wage assignments. The Consumer Counsel was responsible for advising Governor Harriman on matters affecting consumers, and working to protect consumers from fraud and misrepresentation.

- The Laws of 1903, Chapter 147 authorized the State Engineer to appropriate lands, structures, and waters for the use of the improved canals (Barge Canal). This series consists of the original linen and paper maps created and maintained by the State Engineer and Surveyor and its succeeding agencies. The bound volumes constitute a five-volume set of maps showing land appropriations made pursuant to Chapter 79 of the Laws of 1895.
