- The Victory Book Campaign was a nationwide effort to collect books for members of the armed forces. New York State's participation in the Victory Book Campaign was coordinated by the Bureau of Library Extension. These records relate to the acquisition, shipping, and distribution of books; publicity for the program; compilation of program statistics; and American finances. Included are correspondence, press releases, texts of radio programs and announcements, clippings, instruction manuals, statistical reports, fiscal records, fliers, posters, and maps.

- The series consists of maps produced by the Adirondack Park Agency for the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan of 1973. The maps consist of a printed base map of each county (sometimes done in sections) prepared by the Office of Planning Services, with an attached plastic film overlay in colors representing the various land use classifications. Additionally, wilderness areas and "primitive areas" are represented.

- This series consists of testimony from Rochester individuals who opposed Gibbs' nomination claiming Gibbs had withheld money due them from a legal case. The testimony, provided as typescript of oral testimony or as affidavits was used as exhibits at a March l2, l9l3 hearing held by the Senate Finance Committee to investigate the qualifications of Gibbs for the commissioner position. Also included are correspondence, clippings, and telegrams relating to the Gibbs nomination.

- This bound volume contains press copies of letters sent by the Superintendent of Public Instruction to book publishers. The letters relate to the acquisition of books for the State Teachers' Library and many include lists of books accepted or refused for the Library. The State Teachers' Library was established in 1895 (Chapter 546) in the Department of Public Instruction to loan books by mail to teachers located in rural parts of the state.

- Described as "Original Minutes" in the 1852 published catalogue of the State Library, these minutes are rough drafts which were then transcribed into Series B1870, Minutes, which remains the official record. The practice of retaining "Original Minutes" was probably discontinued in 1798. This volume was badly burned in the Capitol fire of 1911.
