- This series compiled by the State Engineer and Surveyor documents the appraisal, surveying, purchase, and sale of lands within the state. Records include land tract sales, land appraisals, surveys and descriptions of tracts, reports (such as land boundaries and state canals); correspondence (including about oyster lands), field notes and maps, leases and court records. Many records deal with boundary lines between New York State and the neighboring states and between various towns within the state.

- This series consists of vouchers documenting sale of lands by the state. For the most part, monies raised by these sales were then deposited into either the state's general or school funds. The top half of the form was completed the Surveyor General's Office and normally provides the date of the transaction, a description of the lands sold, and the amount. The bottom half of the form was completed the State Treasurer's Office, signed by a State Treasurer Official and indicates from whom the funds were received, the amount, and date.

- In June 1972, Hurricane Agnes caused flooding that led to real property damage in many Hudson Valley, Central, and Southern Tier counties in New York. Emergency federal disaster loans were made available soon afterward. This series contains correspondence, news releases, newspaper clippings, damage survey reports, resolutions, travel vouchers, and weather data dealing with damage claims, emergency state response, and cleanup efforts resulting from Hurricane Agnes.
