- The New York Network was created in 1967 as a recording and broadcasting service of The State University of New York. This series consists of videotapes documenting a conference on the history of the Governor Hugh L. Carey administration entitled, "The Carey Years: Lessons for New York and the Nation." Also included are several tapes featuring news conferences and speeches by Governor Mario M. Cuomo.

- The series includes vouchers, accounts, contracts, correspondence, and related documents of various state civil and military officers including Commissioners of Highways, Commissioners of Fortifications, Commissary of Military Stores, Council of Appointment, Pay Master General, agents of New York State with the United States, Commissioners of Indian Affairs, Indian agents, s, Adjutant General, and Quarter Master General. The series also contains financial documents and claims relating to "detached" militia companies that were placed under Federal command during the War of 1812.

The applications include those transmitted by county government or other state political leaders, and applications sent directly to Governor Harriman. Also included are applications from lawyers for positions and applications for honorary positions. The records include applications, biographies of the applicants, criminal investigation reports of the applicants, and recommendations and correspondence from and about the applicants.

- This volume contains official correspondence between Governor Clinton and the State Legislature, as well as gubernatorial proclamations and annual messages. Governor Clinton apparently used this book to record his official gubernatorial correspondence concerning legislative and judicial matters; the volume breaks off after Clinton retired from office in 1795 and resumes in 1802 following his return to office.

- This series contains mostly correspondence but also some accounts, essays, and related records documenting Daniel Tompkins' public and private life from his college years through his term as vice president. Included are letters from Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Martin Van Buren, DeWitt Clinton, and Henry Dearborn. Records relate to the War of 1812; appointments; Indians; political disputes; state prison administration; slavery; John Jacob Astor's arrest for treason; morality issues; and Tompkins' finances and property. These records are restricted due to damage.

- George B. Graves served under fourteen New York governors. He was appointed private secretary to Alfred E. Smith in 1924; later, he became assistant to the governor, a position especially created for him by Smith. Graves ended his thirty-six years of government service in 1928. This series consists primarily of files created and maintained by Graves during his service to Governor Smith. The files consist chiefly of correspondence, telegrams, memorandums, cross references, speech material, newspaper clippings, and printed material.

- This series consists of copies of reports made by the directors of several mental health institutions to their respective boards of visitors and forwarded to the Governor's office. Reports contain a variety of narrative and statistical information including incident reports, institutional censuses, goals and objectives, and personnel status. Transmittal letters from the directors to the governor are usually included. Names of patients appear throughout the series.
