Summary
- The series consists of daily registers that record the population and activities of patients at the Syracuse State School and its predecessors. Starting in 1883, the asylum purchased and remodeled farm buildings at which older students were placed to learn farming and to produce crops. By 1931 the Syracuse State School had fifteen such "colonies" (eight junior boys' colonies, three senior boys' colonies, and four girls' colonies) and the work activities noted in these registers reflect that system.

- This series consists of portfolios of typewritten tabulations "prepared by Cities Census Committee, Inc. to facilitate tabulation of the enumeration of the City of New York, 1925," under the administration of the Secretary of State. Each portfolio contains columns of figures of population arranged by election district and sanitary district for the boroughs of Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn. The binder for Manhattan is empty; the binder for Staten Island is not included.

- The letter books consist of handwritten and typewritten copies of outgoing correspondence sent by the New York Secretary of State. The letters deal with various subjects, including the publication and dissemination of state laws; applications for land grants; resolutions of the Commissioners of the Land Office; state censuses of 1835 and 1905; and elections. Many of the letters are partially faded, and are therefore difficult to read.

- This series consists of fragmentary burned schedules of the Census of Electors taken in 1814. - Kenneth B. Pick was a demographic analyst who held prominent positions at both the state legislature and at multiple state agencies. This series contains "Multivariate Application of Population Statistics" (MAPS) prepared by Pick, likely for the Puerto Rican and Hispanic Task Force. It also includes material generated by the Legislative Task Force on Demographic Research and Reapportionment pertaining to the 1992 legislative redistricting in New York, and reports generated by the Legislature's Office of Statistical Information.

- This volume contains the 1845 population schedules for all the Indian reservations in New York (except the reservations on Long Island). Census schedules are present for the following reservations or groups: Oneida, Onondaga, Tuscarora, Buffalo [Creek], Seneca of Cattaraugus, Cayuga of Cattaraugus, Seneca of Allegany, Tonawanda, and St. Regis [Mohawk]. Data collected is similar to the general population census but does not include voting, citizenship, or militia service.
