All of the writs of error were directed to the Court of Common Pleas for the City and County of New York. Several of the writs of habeas corpus concerned custody of minors. Two writs of habeas corpus post date the reorganization of the Supreme Court in 1847. A few of the writs include the return to the writ (the response of the lower court).

- The Grievance Tracking System (GTS) was a microcomputer-based system in the Governor's Office of Employee Relations (GOER), which collected information from all executive branch state agencies on grievances and grieved disciplines. Agencies were required to submit to GOER monthly reports on all new grievances and grieved disciplinary actions and related proceedings. The GTS files contain data on agency, employee name, bargaining unit, facility, charges filed, and decisions made at each step of the grievance or grieved discipline.

- The Cura?ao records, in Dutch, document the West India Company's activities in the Caribbean during the seventeenth century; supply information about the administration of affairs on Cura?ao; and depict the commercial relationship between the islands and New Netherland. The records were maintained by Petrus Stuyvesant, who served as director of Cura?ao and dependencies during the years 1642-1644, 1646-1664.
