- These blotters served as a preliminary record of the governor's actions and decisions. These records were kept pursuant to Laws of 1858, Chapter 64, which required the governor to record in books all applications made to him for appointments, pardons, commutations of sentences, or other gubernatorial actions, and to keep on file the original documentation relating to each application. The permanent record of these activities is found in Series A0607, Journals of Governor's Actions and Decisions.

This book belonged to Augustus Schoonmaker, Jr., who served as attorney general of New York State from January 1, 1878 to December 31, 1879. The laws do not seem to have any connection to each other. The book also contains appointments of Schoonmaker, although many of them are pasted over.

- This series consists of six bound volumes describing clothing issued to and received by inmates at Matteawan State Hospital. In addition, volume six contains an overall inventory of an unknown ward detailing unused clothing and clothing ordered. The content varies between volumes, but generally provides information on what clothing was issued to an inmate, his/her name, number, date of admission, private clothing owned by the inmate, and ward number to which inmate was transferred.

- These files contain certificates of recovery, statements of transfer, negatives of photographs, inventories of inmates' possessions, applications for writs of habeas corpus, inmate correspondence, newspaper clippings, and orders for withdrawal of writs of habeas corpus. These files were generated by the officials at Dannemora State Hospital, who decided to separate inmates' commitment records from the main case files. The majority of the files contain only statements of transfer, inventories of inmates' possessions, and certificates of recovery.

- This series consists of tax lists for steamboats Richmond, Paragon, and Chancellor Livingston. . The Canal Fund law includes a one dollar tax upon each steamboat passenger for each trip of over 100 miles, and fifty cents for any distance between 30 and 100 miles. Proceeds were deposited in the Canal Fund. The tax monthly lists provide the total number of passengers. In some instances, the passenger totals are broken down into daily figures.
