Psychiatric reports include number of inmates interviewed; receiving individual and group therapy sessions; placed under psychiatric observation; examined for classification and preparatory to discharge; and transferred for psychiatric reasons. Psychological statistics include number of subjects tested or interviewed; hours; tests given; reports written; and referral sources. The therapy and counseling statistics files give the name of the counselor; month; name of patient; and dates of sessions.

- The first volume in this series was used to log correspondence received each business day by the Secretary of State's office. Most correspondence involves requests for certification of deeds, satisfaction pieces, mortgages, powers of attorney, and appointments. The second volume was used to log instruments (legal documents such as deeds, bonds, leases, assignments of morgages, certificates of incorporation, and affidavits) received by the secretary's office.

Summary
- These volumes contain typewritten transcripts of mortgages of real property to county commissioners appointed to loan monies of the state pursuant to acts of the Legislature passed in 1792 and 1837. The source of the monies loaned under the latter act was the United States Deposit Fund. Except for a few early mortgages in the first volume, the rest of the mortgages transcribed in these volumes related to loans from the U.S. Deposit Fund. The transcripts were examined and compared with the original documents for accuracy by the Second Deputy Secretary of State. The location of the original mortgages is unknown.

- Under the Elmira system, each incarcerated individual's release was determined by good behavior and the accumulation of marks for school achievement, labor productivity, and adherence to institutional rules. This series consists of volumes recording the "credits" and "debits" used in this marking system. Each page contains the record of a single incarcerated male and each person's record was maintained until they were paroled or had served their maximum sentence.
