- These proceedings, resolutions, maps, surveyors' reports, and legislative acts filed with the Department of State document the alteration or establishment of town boundaries relating to establishment of new towns; annexation of parts of towns to other towns; and settlement of boundary disputes between towns. Pursuant to legislation, county boards of supervisors (except for New York County) were authorized to divide or alter boundaries of towns within their counties and establish and define boundary lines between towns.

- This document is an original typed resolution issued by both houses of the New York State Legislature upon the return of the 332nd Infantry Regiment (part of the 83rd Division) of the American Expeditionary Force from the Italian front in World War I. The resolution was issued to recognize the "conspicuous services and devotion to duty" for which the 332nd Regiment was decorated by the Italian government upon its return to New York in 1919.

- This series consists of deeds, mortgages, bonds, assignments and traced maps of lots in Buffalo. The land was conveyed to the Commissioners of the Canal Fund as collateral for two judgments against Thadeus W. Patchin, bankrupt, in 1874. In 1881 the Commissioners of the Canal Fund empowered the State Treasurer to settle or cancel back taxes on the Buffalo lots, and this series also contains taxes searches and related documents from this action.

- The series consists of regular and special meeting files of the Public Authorities Control Board (PACB), which regulates financing, bonding, property acquisition, and construction projects of major public authorities. Some of the records, including exhibits, draft resolutions, and summaries outlining financial implications of projects, were apparently prepared by staff for PACB members as background materials on pending applications. The records document the PACB's monitoring of projects undertaken by public authorities, as well as its decision-making process.

Summary
- Despite the establishment of the State Court of Probates in 1778 and the Surrogate's Court system in 1787, citizens continued to petition the State Legislature for assistance in settling estates of deceased persons. This series contains petitions to the legislature from heirs to estates and estate executors or administrators. The petitions address a wide variety of probate matters, including settlement of debts owed by or to estates and contested dispositions of estates.

The series consists of the minutes of monthly and special meetings held by the Board to review applications, including resolutions approving or disapproving projects.

Project review files contain analysis of archaeological, ecological, and historical effects; local and regional economic impact; conformity with standards of other government agencies; and visual, olfactory, and auditory effects.
