- This series contains charts enumerating the number of volunteers in each local war council who had been, or were being, trained for specific home front activities. Many, but not all, war councils reported these figures, which the Office of Civilian Mobilization (OCM) collected in order to track local war councils' volunteer needs. Civilian War Services was the OCM division responsible for carrying out many home front programs, while the Office of Civilian Protection worked on civil defense projects.

Jackson Davis, who established the first statewide health care program for persons on public relief assistance. - This series contains tally lists of the number of volunteers working on various civilian mobilization programs within the local war councils. This information allowed the Office of Civilian Mobilization (OCM) to monitor the local organizations' successes or needs. Less than ten percent of the local councils reported their figures, however, and those that did report did not do so regularly. The list of programs includes: block leaders; child care; housing; nutrition; recreation; and war bonds.

Also included are survey forms from businesses on hiring and firing practices and a summary of a survey of labor unions on age discrimination.

- This series consists of 64 charts and maps of the Erie Canal from Waterford to Buffalo, and of the Champlain, Oswego, and Cayuga-Seneca canals. They were seemingly prepared by the Department of Public Works to aid ships or boats in navigating canal waterways. Navigation charts are mixed with survey maps perhaps to aid production of charts for additional uncharted canal areas.

- This series maps the official boundary line between the states of Connecticut and New York. Maps begin at the northwest corner of Connecticut and end through Long Island Sound at the western boundary of Rhode Island. They depict the boundary line and the area on both sides for several hundred feet. The maps also show municipalities; land conditions (cultivated, orchard, meadow); natural and man-made features (rivers, ponds, highways, roads); civic structures (churches, tennis courts); and property owners and house locations.
