Much of the material consists of lists of teachers, librarians, nurses, and health teachers approved by the Education Department in fulfillment of school districts' quotas for specialized teachers required for the districts to receive special state aid. Also included is information on: certification of teachers of the handicapped; entrance requirements for colleges with home economics programs; home economics curricula; and training of home economics teachers.

Ambach's personal papers detail his personal biography, his work outside of NYSED and the CCSSO, and his relationships with various contacts and colleagues.

Allen (1950-1955), and Ewald B. Nyquist (1961-1970).
