Summary
This series consists of correspondence, reports, copies of financial statements, and other records concerning the celebration of New York Day at the Chicago World's Fair; the dedication of the Trenton, New Jersey Battle Monument at Van Cortlandt Park; and the dedication of the New York State Monument at Gettysburg. The bulk of the series deals with the latter event and consists mainly of materials prepared by A.J. Zabriskie, the Engineer and Secretary of the New York Monuments Commission.

Most records pertain to land conveyed and dedicated to erecting monuments and markers of the location of New York military units during the battle of Gettysburg. Included are transmittal letters, agreements, legislative bills, correspondence, maps, deeds of conveyance and dedications. Information includes a deed of conveyance and dedication to land in Hamilton County, Tennessee, where the battles of Wauhatchie and Lookout Valley were fought by New York Regiments and Batteries.
