The Business Advisory Council advised the Commerce Department and the Governor on industrial development and issues of special concern to business. This series consists of meeting agenda; minutes; attendance lists; correspondence; memoranda; reports; legislative bills; and clippings. Subjects include general business climate; economic development; workman's compensation; unemployment insurance; business taxes and nuclear energy. Also included are documents relating to the New York Business Development Corporation which provide loans for capital investment.
