The reports contain transcripts of opinions and decisions issued by the two district commissions on transportation regulatory hearings held by them. The hearings deal with issues such as rights of companies to construct extensions, transportation rates, accidents, filing of reports, passenger accommodations and safety, elimination of grade crossings, applications to issue stock, alterations of train schedules, and extensions of companies' zones of service.

Participants in the inquiry included Bee Line, Inc.; Rockville Centre Bus Corporation; and Long Island Local 252 Transport Workers Union, CIO. Issues include work week length; payment during breaks, layovers, and peak periods of ridership; time off for jury duty; salary increases; uniform allowances; physical examinations; vacation allowances; pensions overtime; and overtime pay.
