- This series consists of four-page questionnaires completed by each joint legislative committee in existence in 1958. The questionnaire was used by Joint Legislative Committee on Legislative Practices and Procedures in examining the operation, staffing, and effectiveness of joint legislative committees and their relation to the total legislative process. The questionnaires include information on committee members and employees, objectives, activities, and accomplishments.

- This series consists of copies of a dependent re-survey of portions of the boundary of the Allegany Indian Reservation and portions of the village lines within the reservation at Cattauragus County, New York. Included are two copies of a survey map and a forty-four page duplicate copy of associated field notes. The city of Salamanca is located on land leased from the Indians. These records probably relate to a dispute which occurred when the long-term lease of that property ended.

- This series of 5 x 8 inch cards indexes Series B2643, Lands under water survey project records. The index cards provide the name of applicant, survey location, county, tube number, and 222 series number. Some index cards also include project date. The cards also provide an "H" series number, which is the designation for highway/Department of Public Works projects. The last set of numbers in the "H" series number correlate to the project survey file number in Series B2643.

- This series consists of surveys and appraisals of state-owned salt lands in preparation for the sale of those lands in the town of Geddes and the city of Syracuse. For each tract or lot information includes survey description providing metes and bounds and total acreage; appraised value of land and value of buildings, fences, and other improvements; and for the 1851 appraisals, brief evaluative statements concerning the land by each of the prospective purchasers, typically current lessees.

- This series consists of lands under water survey project records, which resulted from surveys conducted on behalf of applicants for lands under water transactions. The records also include some documentation of transfer of jurisdiction to other state agencies. Documented projects were located in the five boroughs of New York City and Long Island as well as Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange, and Greene counties. Typed of records include survey receipts, payroll logs, survey descriptions, phone message slips, survey calculations, copies of adjacent upland deeds, newspaper articles, and survey maps.

- The Onondaga Indian Reservation was established by treaty between the Onondaga Indians and the State of New York in 1788. After various tracts were sold by the Onondagas, they petitioned the state for a re-survey of their reservation. This series consists of field notes of a United State Department of the Interior survey of the Onondaga Indian Reservation executed in 1938 to restore and remark the boundaries of the reservation established by an earlier re-survey executed in 1856.

- These survey maps show the proposed route for the Erie Canal was made by James Geddes in 1817. The area mapped extends from "Tonewanta Creek" east to the outlet of Mud Creek in the "Great Cayuga Marsh" (Montezuma). The maps show proposed line of the canal; roads; houses; mills; settlements; streams, ponds, and lakes; steep terrain; swamps and marshes; town and lot lines; and other features adjacent to the canal route.

- This series contains the miscellaneous filed papers of the New York State Surveyor General and the State Engineer and Surveyor.
