- This series consists of various types of administrative records relating to work progress, personnel matters, travel, and purchasing activities. The following types of records are included: monthly narrative and statistical reports by district supervisors; periodic work status reports by the central office; lists of workers in each district; personnel reports; labor reports; district supervisors' weekly itinerary reports; employee depositions; requisitions for workers; travel orders; purchase orders; and correspondence concerning personnel, travel, and purchasing matters.

Summary
- This series contains correspondence, memorandums, reports, travel orders, supply requisitions, time sheets ("employee depositions") and occasional employment applications ("personnel questionnaires"). These records were used by the district supervisors of the Historical Records Survey and were periodically transferred to the office of the state director. Most correspondence and memorandums in this series are between district supervisors and the state director, field workers, and administrative officials of the Works Progress Administration.

Summary
- These abstracts or transcriptions of broadsides were made by staff of the Buffalo district office as part of the survey of American Imprints. In addition to the abstracts there is one original broadside dated 1869. Most of the broadsides were issued in western New York, although a few come from other parts of the state and nation.

Summary
- This series contains copies of cards (WPA form 22 HR) compiled for the American Imprints Inventory, a project under the Historical Records Survey. The cards give basic cataloging data on books and pamphlets printed in the United States before 1877. They were compiled by field workers who surveyed most public and private institutional libraries in New York State. The original cards were sent to the National Editor of the American Imprints Inventory, where checklists of imprints were planned and prepared.
