- This series consists of photographic images of the Flushing Remonstrance taken before and after the New York State Capitol fire of 1911. Material includes 3 glass negatives of the Flushing Remonstrance taken before the fire; prints made from those negatives; and photographic prints of the Remonstrance, after it was repaired following the fire, but prior to its display in the New York State Freedom Train Exhibits (1950).

- This series consists of typewritten transcripts of New York Colonial Council minutes created as part of an abandoned effort to publish Council minutes from the period after 1673. Grants were made to individuals holding land bounty rights originally issued to commissioned officers and private soldiers who served in New York Continental regiments during the Revolutionary War. - This series contains letters, minutes, and other administrative documents, in Dutch, created by the West India Company during its struggle to dominate trade and establish trading posts on the South (Delaware) River. The records, generated in the Delaware region and sent to New Amsterdam, largely relate to Swedish activities in the region; the takeover of New Sweden in 1655 by the Dutch; and agreements and terms met during the struggle with Sweden for control over the region.

- This series contains mostly warrants of survey but includes also a few unrelated legal documents. Colonial governors ordered surveys of all lands for which settlers applied for purchase. The warrants are the governor's orders to the surveyor general to carry out the survey. They provide name of governor; name of surveyor general; for whom land is to be surveyed; acreage and location of land; and date of warrant. The records suffered some burn damage in the 1911 State Capitol fire.

Included is a preface and four articles intended as an introduction to published papers of military officer and Indian negotiator Sir William Johnson. - The Cura?ao records, in Dutch, document the West India Company's activities in the Caribbean during the seventeenth century; supply information about the administration of affairs on Cura?ao; and depict the commercial relationship between the islands and New Netherland. The series includes administrative records and correspondence, and business records relating to trade and shipping. The records were maintained by Petrus Stuyvesant, who served as director of Cura?ao and dependencies during the years 1642-1644, 1646-1664.

- The king appointed members of the councils of New York and New Jersey to investigate and settle a land dispute between Connecticut and the Mohegan Indians. The commission's minutes include: summaries of each party's arguments and the history of the dispute; copies of land sales by Indians to settlers, acts of the Connecticut General Assembly, testimony from previous inquiries; summary lists of documents produced as evidence; depositions and testimony by witnesses; and opinions of commissioners regarding outcome of the dispute.

- These are commonly known as "Dongan's Laws." The first chapter of the laws is the "Charter of Liberties and Privileges" which was passed by the assembly (first New York legislature) on October 17, 1683. Through these laws the English Colonial Governor, Colonel Thomas Dongan, a Catholic, extended freedom of religion and other important rights to the colony. This provision was included in substance in Section 38 of the Constitution of 1777.
