These minutes record the board's resolutions, procedures adopted as to the filing of claims, descriptions of claims submitted by regiments, abstracts of claims audited and allowed, abstracts of claims audited and allowed to clothing manufacturers for uniforms, and descriptions of board expenses.

- This volume contains recorded copies of three partition deeds for Adirondack Forest Preserve Lands owned in common by the state and private parties, executed pursuant to the Laws of 1895, Chapter 273. There is also a deed to the United States for land on Staten Island and accompanying deeds of cession of jurisdiction by the governor to the U.S., made pursuant to the Laws of 1896.

This series contains mortgages primarily for lands sold by the state in patents and former Indian reservations. Information includes mortgagor, property description and mortgage terms. Many mortgages were discharged or cancelled. A certificate of payment and cancellation was entered in the margin. Discharges are mostly for lots in the East and West Cayuga Reservations.

Documents include the executor's petition for proof of the will in Supreme Court; affidavits of witnesses regarding competency of the testator; and notices to next-of-kin. Wills could be proved in the Supreme Court when the decedent resided out of state, when heirs resided in several different counties, or when the will had to be proved immediately because the estate was in danger of loss.

- This series contains transcriptions of enrolled decrees, the final determinations in equity cases involving a complainant and defendant. The decrees were issued by the Chancellor, the Circuit Judge in the 1st Circuit (1823-1829), the Vice-Chancellor in the 1st Circuit (1830-1847), or (after July 1, 1847) a Justice of the Supreme Court. The most numerous case category is mortgage foreclosures. Less numerous case categories include matrimonial proceedings (divorce, separation, annulment), commercial disputes, wills, trusts, injunctions, and receiverships.

- The series consists of daily registers that record the population and activities of patients at the Syracuse State School and its predecessors. Starting in 1883, the asylum purchased and remodeled farm buildings at which older students were placed to learn farming and to produce crops. By 1931 the Syracuse State School had fifteen such "colonies" (eight junior boys' colonies, three senior boys' colonies, and four girls' colonies) and the work activities noted in these registers reflect that system.

- This "Map of the Taggarts Paper Co Land on Township 2 Brown's Tract Herkimer County N.Y." was used as an exhibit in the Court of Claims case, the Taggarts Paper Company Claim No. 10335. The map is an annotated copy of a topographic map and shows natural features of land and water, as well as trails, roads, lumber camps, and lot and range numbers. The meaning of the annotations or the significance of the sequestered land blocks depicted is unknown.

The estimates are for office stationery items, rubber footwear, coal, and other commodities approved for purchase by the State Department of Purchase.
