This series consists of registers describing non-resident property on which taxes were owed which the Comptroller's Office "rejected" because the descriptions were incomplete, inconsistent, inaccurate or for another technical reasons. The descriptions were used to produce accurate lists of lands to be advertised for sale. Reasons for rejection are stated in the margin in red ink. Descriptions may include a brief description of property; location; acreage; valuation; taxes owed or type of tax owed.
