The Governor's Electric Power Committee was appointed in 1967 to evaluate the growing electrical power needs of the state. The committee was charged with defining the future power requirements of New York and available resources, and recommending the organizational and financial mechanisms necessary to assure future power needs at the lowest practical cost. The series consists of transcripts of the commission's meetings and reports of its subcommittees on growth forecasts, power requirements, systems, economic studies, and organization and finance.
