This series contains files on river characteristics and values for rivers in the state, programs in other states, applications and information on all hydroelectric projects proposed within the state, and regulations and guidelines for implementation of the Wild, Scenic, and Recreational Rivers Act. The records include correspondence, background documentation, and information on river programs in other states, regulatory revisions, and administrative records.

This series consists of records related to the creation of New York State's Historic Tree Register. Files pertaining to the register include applications, correspondence, press releases, acceptance and rejection letters, and descriptions of the trees. Also included are State Botanist records from the 1910s, correspondence regarding the planting of Moon Trees (trees grown from seeds taken into orbit around the Moon) in the 1970s, and surveys of large and historical trees in the state from the 1960s-1980s.

This series is comprised of land records (survey notes, copies of deeds, maps, quit claims, and indentures) created or accumulated by William Cockburn, his sons William Jr. and James, and his grandson Walter A. Cockburn, and maintained by the Division of Lands and Forests. The series contains three small bound volumes; miscellaneous survey notes, drawings, and maps arranged by date; and one disbound folio containing miscellaneous large maps.

This series consists of one photocopy of a tracing of a survey map and field notes made by surveyor Ebenezer Worster (or Wooster) in 1749. Map shows boundaries and names of land owners, lot numbers, and rivers. Field notes record survey delineations. The tracing was made by or for the State Conservation Department in 1919 from an original map then in private hands.
