Administrative History
The Department of Environmental Conservation's Division of Fish and Wildlife is responsible for managing the fish and wildlife of the state, largely under the mandate of Article 11 of the Environmental Conservation Law. Responsibilities include monitoring power stations and reviewing development projects to assess their impact on fish and wildlife species and habitats.
Scope and Content Note
B2481-14: This accretion contains documents related to energy plants at Indian Point and Arthur Kill and analyzes their environmental impact on local fish and wildlife. Records include correspondence, water quality certifications, impact statements, policy reports, committee meeting minutes and data sheets.
B2481-24: This accretion consists of records pertaining to generating stations at Lovett, Somerset, Hudson Avenue, and Cayuga as well as steam stations at Huntley, and Dunkirk. Also included are records concerning the Hamburg/Erie Canal Harbor Project, Holtsville Combined Cycle Plant, and Independence Station.
