They include: exterior building views; interior building views; facility grounds; institutional residents; and institutional staff. These are mounted and unmounted photographs. Most photographs are identified by subject and institution.
The State Commissioner in Lunacy, under the Board of Charities' direction, prepared a report on treatment of the insane in other states. These photographs appear to have been gathered for that report.
