Summary
This series consists of reel-to-reel audio tapes and accompanying scripts, created and distributed by the Department of Commerce's Bureau of State Information to publicize local historic sites, tourist attractions, museums, cultural events, and recreational facilities. These tapes were apparently intended for radio play in the 1980s as part of the "I Love New York Traveler" advertising campaign. Most tapes and scripts have a brief (one minute) and an extended version (four and one-half minutes).

These records were created by the Bureau of Media Services for use in promoting tourism activities and industrial development for various areas of the state and their local industries. Included are various items used in the production of the films including 16mm and 35mm black and white and color motion picture films (positive and negatives), magnetic audio tape, video tape, written scripts, and editing instructions.

Summary
This series consists of audio tape recordings of the proceedings of Convocations of the University of the State of New York and other selected Education Department functions. Included on these tapes are partial proceedings of convocations held between 1952 and 1970, a Regents legislative conference held in 1969, and the proceedings at Commissioner James E. Allen, Jr's. retirement dinner in 1969.

The series consists of a set of six long-playing sound recordings, produced for radio broadcast by the Junior Leagues of Albany in cooperation with the New York State Education Department, as an educational tool about freedom. Entitled "The Price of Liberty," the recordings may be connected to the popular "Freedom Train" movement of the early 1950s. The set consists of twelve recorded segments.

This series consists of phonograph records and accompanying documentation created by the Education Department for use as an education enrichment device in small, rural schools. The vast majority of the records pertain to nature or conservation related topics, which is partially reflective of the rural locations in which the educational recordings were likely to be employed.
