Summary
- This series consists of overlay maps (which coincide with U. S. Geographical survey quadrangles) that are products of a Division of Fish and Wildlife wetlands inventory project. Apparently created to compile a comprehensive statewide survey to seek out, identify, and collect data on state wetlands, the maps provide data on the location, size, plant composition, cover types, bogs, drainage links, channels, nearby lakes, and grid coordinates. Record are fragile, use is only with assistance of archivist.

Summary
- This series consists of overlay maps corresponding to United States Geological Survey (USGS) quadrangle maps showing locations of state lands in the Adirondack region (mostly eastern Adirondacks). The maps also depict survey patents. Maps are 1:24,000 scale and contain extensive pencil and color-coded notations and additions. Some camera negatives are included.

- The series consists of maps produced by the Adirondack Park Agency for the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan of 1973. The maps consist of a printed base map of each county (sometimes done in sections) prepared by the Office of Planning Services, with an attached plastic film overlay in colors representing the various land use classifications. Additionally, wilderness areas and "primitive areas" are represented.

- This series consists of maps of wildlife habitats in urban areas throughout the state. The series includes 107 Mylar overlays entitled "Urban Wildlife Habitat Inventory Overlay Maps," and 24 "Urban Area Enlargement" print maps (paper). Habitat areas are demarcated on the Mylar overlays by alphanumeric codes; no legend appears to explain these codes. The print maps cover the counties of Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, and Westchester. These maps are apparently the base maps with which some of the overlays may be used.

Maps and plot plans show bedrock and surface geology; seismic survey lines; soil content; existing site contours and vegetation; proposed facilities and alternate site locations; and construction facilities. Also included is an aerial photograph of the Cayuga site.

Point data overlays include rural residences, mobile homes, outdoor recreation facilities, schools, and solid waste disposal sites.
