Summary
- This single manuscript map shows the town of Brooklyn in the county of Kings as it was surveyed by Sidney Herbert and Robert Tolford in 1834. This survey was carried out at the request and under the direction of town supervisor Jeremiah Johnson. The survey was apparently done in anticipation of the incorporation of the City of Brooklyn which occurred by legislation passed in April of 1834. This map clearly shows all nine wards.

- This series consists of maps sent to the Secretary of State to complete the application of the U.S. Attorney General to enable the federal government to have sole jurisdiction over Fort Drum military reservation. Information on maps include area and description of the original reservation, custody and accountability of acquired and disposed acreage, and boundary lines of the installation as completed from deed descriptions and aerial surveys. Maps are base maps revised to show boundary changes and new markers.

The Federal Water Pollution Control Act of 1965 required each state to adopt water quality standards applicable to interstate waters within or on its borders. Apparently prepared by George L. Schillner, the map shows the Capitol building, the Capitol Park grounds, surrounding streets, driveways, access points, locations of water pipes, hose hydrants, catch basins, tile drains from the basins, and specifications for area and protecting walls.
