This series consists of state and county highway maps showing completed, improved, and proposed roads. Most are official published county highway maps, annotated to show state and county highway systems corrected to 1936. Also included are publications and correspondence on special highway projects in New York City, dating from the 1940s and early 1950s, and a number of World War II maps indicating military priority highways.

This series consists of maps, profiles, cross sections, description sheets, and other information documenting work proposed and carried out during the enlargement and improvement of the Western Division of the Erie Canal. Included is proposed work on sections of the lateral canals of the Barge Canal system, especially the Genesee Valley. Maps often note property lines and owners, cultivated land; and significant buildings/structures. Records are restricted due to fragility.

This series consists of map indexes to Series B1936, Aerial Photographs of Western New York. Each map is divided into counties including Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Niagara with each county map divided into squares with special key numbers. The maps also include the status of road projects, whether they are complete, incomplete or to be taken care of by the county instead of the state. Index is restricted due to national security concerns.

This series consists of topographic survey maps made as part of a plan to build a proposed storage dam on the Sacandaga River at or near Conklingville, Saratoga County. The maps show the river and its watershed and details of the lands and property that would be affected by the damming and flooding. The maps show municipal boundary lines, land features, details of land and property, buildings, roads, and railroads.

This series maps the official boundary line between the states of Connecticut and New York. Maps begin at the northwest corner of Connecticut and end through Long Island Sound at the western boundary of Rhode Island. They depict the boundary line and the area on both sides for several hundred feet. The maps also show municipalities; land conditions (cultivated, orchard, meadow); natural and man-made features (rivers, ponds, highways, roads); civic structures (churches, tennis courts); and property owners and house locations.
