This series consists of briefs, draft rules, affidavits and notices of motions, certificates of clerkships, and other documents bundled together by court term. Included are a few rules for attachment of property of sheriffs who had failed to put in bail for defendants; orders for holding circuit courts; opinions; and petitions for appointment of Supreme Court Commissioners. The series also includes a few affidavits of war service and property by Revolutionary War veterans intending to apply for pensions.

The board's decision sets forth its reasons why the original wetlands designation was upheld or overturned.

Summary
These volumes contain testimony concerning claims against the state for damages caused by the rupture of the dam at the North Lake Reservoir on the Black River in winter, 1869. Testimony includes extensive hydrologic and engineering data and also provides considerable information about mills, bridges, and other property damaged by the flood.

This series documents the activities and determinations of a special judicial commission appointed in 1966 to reapportion state legislative districts. Records consist of the commission's meeting minutes and published final report (including an exhibit volume of legislative district maps); other rolled and flat maps; incoming correspondence; and published materials on apportionment issues. Of special interest are the large-scale maps which show exact boundaries of legislative districts of urbanized areas in New York City.

Summary
This series consists of a brief submitted the Supreme Court Appellate Division, Second Department by the Factory Investigating Commission in the case of People of the State of New York v. Jacob Balofsky. The commission's brief argued against Balofsky's appeal of his conviction of violating Section 104 of the Labor Law for contracting with a woman to finish coats in a tenement residence.
