This series consists of a broad range of materials generated by the Bureau of Wildlife's Biometrics Unit pertaining to waterfowl and bird banding/tracking. This work, published in Department of Environmental Conservation publications and reports, was some of the first in the United States using computer automation and tabulation in support of environmental conservation and management of endangered species.

These volumes document the Conservation Department's program of waterfowl banding and tracking. Volumes contain the following information about each bird which was banded: species, sex, age, band number, source, date banded, and place liberated. For birds which were later recovered, the place and method of recovery are noted, as well as any additional remarks.
