Summary
The series consists of reports of Americanization classes filed by city, village, and union free school district boards of education. There are usually separate reports for each participating school in a district. Information includes teachers' names, subjects taught, type of license, number of hours and days or evenings teaching, and annual salary; number and location of classes; number and length of sessions; number of male and female teachers; and attendance of male and female students.

Series consists of forms reporting school district enrollments for each year from 1923-1924 through 1932-1933. Each form gives the following information: school district name and number; town, village, or city; county; name of superintendent of schools (occasionally); enrollment in each grade K-12 for each school year; and total enrollment for each school year in grades 1-8 and 9-12.
