Summary
The series consists of architectural and mechanical drawings of the State Education Department building located on Washington Avenue in Albany, New York. The original drawings were made by the architectural firm of Palmer and Hornbostel on February 10, 1908, but were revised up until approximately March 11, 1911. The drawings include elevations; floor plans; heating, ventilating, and electrical wiring diagrams; and plumbing system and fixture drawings.

Access may be restricted by Freedom of Information Law (FOIL, Public Officers Law Art. 6), section 86.5 and 87.2(i) (critical infrastructure; "if disclosed could endanger the life or safety of any person").
This series consists of names of workers engaged in the construction of the new State Capitol building. Entries include dates of hire, lay off and reinstatement; name of person recommending worker for a position; and "remarks". Job titles include stonecutters, machinists, blacksmiths, carpenters, painters, masons and plasterers, laborers, and day/night watchmen. Also included are lists of appointees to administrative posts. Entries include appointment date, appointee's municipality of residence, and date of retirement from post.
