Summary
- This series consists of inmate medical and psychiatric reports used to determine the physical and mental condition of inmates serving indeterminate sentences. Clinical staff also conducted scientific studies and psychiatric evaluations in an effort to determine causes of criminal behavior and make recommendations for treatment, training, and employment of inmates. Records may include inmate admission blotter; hospital history; social history summary report; admission classification; progress notes; classification cards; pre-parole report; and records from other prisons in which inmate was incarcerated. Records are restricted.

The latter also list patient's age; color; physical characteristics; personality traits when treatment began; crimes; drug abuse; and strengths and weaknesses. Also included are patient letters describing activities and feelings.

The series also contains a file of monthly psychologist's reports detailing the number of tests and counseling sessions given.

Psychological statistics include number of subjects tested or interviewed; hours; tests given; reports written; and referral sources. The therapy and counseling statistics files give the name of the counselor; month; name of patient; and dates of sessions.
