- These photographic images were used as public relations vehicles for New York's governors. The photographs helped to publicize their official, and occasionally unofficial, activities. Most of the images reveal the routine activities that the governors' photographers were assigned to photograph. Records tend to be arranged by gubernatorial administration for the following governors: Thomas E. Dewey, W. Averell Harriman, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Malcolm Wilson, Hugh L. Carey, Mario M. Cuomo, and Eliot Spitzer.

- This series contains correspondence between War Council member (1941-1943) Abbot Low Moffat, War Council officials, and others involved in state war work relating to many War Council activities which Moffat helped oversee including agricultural aid, child care, civil defense, anti-discrimination work, housing problems, rationing, salvage, and war transportation. Moffat was an assemblyman from New York City (15th District) from 1929 to 1943.
