This series consists of landmark case files from the Department of Law. Files must meet at least one of these criteria: the files document cases that resulted in landmark decisions, rulings, or orders and therefore provide evidence of precedents; pertain to notorious figures or organizations that are likely to be the subject of ongoing research; involve prominent individuals who will likely be the subject of future research; define a shift or are illustrative of a major department policy or initiative.
