This series documents the ten-year duration of the Amphibian and Reptile Atlas Project, as well as other smaller-scale surveys of amphibian and reptile populations occurring outside the time frame of the project. Records include correspondence, photos, field notes, and survey data collection forms.

Access to records which identify habitats of rare, threatened, or endangered species is restricted in accordance with Environmental Conservation Law Sections 3-0301(2)(r) and 11-0539(4).
This series consists of a wide variety of maps and overlays of New York State's wildlife management areas, used by various units within the Department of Environmental Conservation's Bureau of Wildlife.

This series consists of approximately 25,000 data cards which were used by Herpetological Atlas Project volunteers to record observations of herpetofauna (amphibians and reptiles). Information recorded on each card includes the names of species observed, the date and location of observation, and the contact information of the volunteer who submitted the card.
