This series consists of original certificates issued by the State Tax Commission confirming the state's ownership of lands purchased at the 1926 tax-sale. Each certificate declares that proper notice has been served and that moneys required to redeem the land has not been paid to the State Tax Commission. Information on the verso of each certificate includes county; date; and book of deeds number and page in which the county clerk recorded the certificate of notice.

These lists may have been used as hearing or trial exhibits.

These maps were collected and/or created by the Office of the State Comptroller for the purpose of identifying land to be sold for unpaid taxes. The maps depict land in every area of the state, and especially in the Adirondack, Catskill, and western regions. Many maps are extremely detailed and frequently show names of owners of individual lots and parcels.

This series consists of deeds documenting the transfer of real property from private individuals to the Hudson River-Black River Regulating District (HRBRRD). Information contained in a typical deed includes the name of the property's former owner, the purchase price, an exact description of the property being conveyed, and the date of sale. These deeds pertain exclusively to property acquired in the area of the Sacandaga Reservoir.
