The Interpretive Programs Division administers the two Visitor Interpretive Centers in the Park located in Paul Smiths and Newcomb. This series documents the Interpretive Committee's oversight of the educational and interpretive aspects of agency operations. Records include reports made by the committee to the full Commission and other documents referenced in the Commission and committee minutes.
This series consists of press releases predominantly issued by the Adirondack Park Agency's public relations officer and by the Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretive Centers (VIC). The majority of the press releases focus on business conducted by the agency at its monthly meetings and announcements of events such as the completion of environmental studies and the hiring of staff. The press releases contain announcements of the centers' groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies, upcoming public programs, VIC fact sheets, and requests for volunteers.
