Minutes document matters discussed by or reported to the board including resolutions passed; financial reports; conditions and improvements; patients admitted and discharged (some by death); patients recommended for discharge or transfer; committee reports; and officer elections. The visitation register notes the reason for the visit.

Certificates include judges certification that person is insane; cannot support him/herself and family and that the case was fully investigated. Records are restricted.

Of note are census statistics when half the population was transferred to Marcy State Hospital.
