- This series consists of letters from comptroller's agents who served eviction notices on occupants of lands conveyed to the State in Comptroller's tax sales. Most, if not all of the letters, pertain to lands being acquired for the Adirondack Forest Preserve. The letters describe the difficulties of serving notice on "squatters," and discuss the theft of timber and other natural resources.

- Land belonging to William Seward Webb and the Ne-Ha-Sa-Ne Park Association was damaged after a dam across Beaver River formed a reservoir, which flooded. Reimbursement was granted. Shortly thereafter, the Commissioners of the Board of Fisheries, Game and Forest purchased the land. This series consists of bonds, deeds, land contracts, Certificates of Search, and Abstracts of Title recording the purchase of the damaged land in the town of Wilmurt, Herkimer County for the Adirondack Park.
