Summary
- In 1975, Governor Hugh Carey invoked Section 6 of the Executive Law (Moreland Act), and by Executive Order #2 he appointed Morris B. Abram as commissioner to investigate state management of non-governmental nursing homes or facilities that received direct or indirect federal, state, or local aid, or provided care or services to any individual receiving such aid. The series consists of typescript copies of the commission's various reports, copies of public and executive session hearing testimony, and press clipping files.
