The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) is an organization comprised of attorneys general from 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the American protectorates. It sponsors legal education seminars and publishes a newsletter covering litigation which affects the powers and duties of state attorneys general, federal legislation, and association activities. The series consists of minutes, correspondence, and publications documenting the activities of NAAG and the participation of the New York State attorney general in its activities.

The series also documents legal cases involving labor unions and the New York State Retirement System; the Moreland Act Commission Investigation of nursing homes (Hynes Commission); the Organized Crime Task Force investigation of the state's harness racing industry; and development of civil rights legislation. Two training films entitled, "The Fine Art of the Fraud" and "Caveat Emptor," are also included. Records are restricted.
