The volume contains an abstract of title of William Seward Webb and the Ne-ha-sa-ne Park Association to township 41 and part of township 40 in Totten and Crossfield's purchase, and part of township 8, Moose River Tract, Hamilton County, and related deeds and other instruments dating back to 1837. The parcels were conveyed to New York State for the Adirondack Forest Preserve.

- Land belonging to William Seward Webb and the Ne-Ha-Sa-Ne Park Association was damaged after a dam across Beaver River formed a reservoir, which flooded. Reimbursement was granted. Shortly thereafter, the Commissioners of the Board of Fisheries, Game and Forest purchased the land. This series consists of bonds, deeds, land contracts, Certificates of Search, and Abstracts of Title recording the purchase of the damaged land in the town of Wilmurt, Herkimer County for the Adirondack Park.

- This series consists of quitclaim deeds by which the Superintendent of Public Works, with the authorization of the Canal Board, released the State's title to and interest in lands appropriated for canal purposes that were determined to be no longer needed. In most cases, quitclaim deeds were used to both release the State's title to and interest in appropriated lands and to grant said real property to the party from whom it was originally appropriated. In several cases, quitclaim deeds were used to release the State's title to and interest in appropriated lands and to grant said real property to a second party in exchange for other lands required for canal purposes.

- This series consists of 3" x 5" record cards probably used by Auburn's principal keeper to record locations of incarcerated individual's work assignments within Auburn Prison and at prison work camps. Each card includes name and consecutive number, length of sentence, location of each work assignment, date each work assignment began, date discharged, and method of discharge. Records are restricted to protect personal privacy.
